Leak detectors come with a battery with a lifespan of one to ten years. Read the packaging to see how long the battery lasts for. If the battery is almost empty, the leak detector warns you by emitting a continuous beep. It is then time to replace the battery. You are also recommended to regularly test the leak detector.
