    Fire extinguishers

If a fire ever breaks out, you will want to extinguish it as quickly as possible to prevent it from spreading. Fire extinguishers are a quick and effective way of doing this. They are available in different sizes, so that they are suitable for use in small and big rooms, and even in your home. We have fire extinguishers with a volume of 2 litres or 6 litres. 2-litre fire extinguishers are ideal for use in a home. Our product range contains various types of fire extinguisher: powder extinguishers, foam extinguishers and spray extinguishers.

Their quality is guaranteed by the BSI certificate awarded to our fire extinguishers. This means that they are approved by an external party and thanks to this, we can guarantee the quality of our products. All Smartwares fire extinguishers meet the European legislation, so that you can be certain that they work correctly.

To be sure that you buy the correct type of fire extinguisher for your situation, you must know which types of fire the fire extinguisher must be able to extinguish. For that reason, it is stated on each fire extinguisher which fire class it is suitable for. There are the following fire classes:
    • Fire class A – Solid objects, such as paper, wood and textiles.
    • Fire class B – Liquids, such as oil, petrol and plastics.
    • Fire class C – Gases, such as natural gas, LPG, butane and propane.

Each fire extinguisher has an expiry date and until that date you can rely on a fire extinguisher to work when needed. In general, a fire extinguisher's service life is 10 years. Once it is past its expiry date, it must be replaced.
