The Smartwares PD-4995 is a battery-powered smoke alarm that detects smoke using a photoelectric sensor and sounds an 85 dB alarm at a 3 m distance.
Photoelectric sensor and hush button
The optical sensor detects smoke, and the hush function lowers the sensitivity of the alarm for 10 minutes when needed. The smoke alarm also includes a test button to check its operation.
Battery and sensor lifetime
The alarm runs on an included, replaceable 9 V 6F22 battery with a 1-year battery lifetime. An empty-battery indicator alerts you when the battery requires replacement, and the product lifetime is 10 years.
