With Smartwares Link
This set contains a Smartwares Link gateway, which allows access to the free HomeWizard Link app and a built-in unit which can be placed behind your existing wall switch. The built-in unit and the Link gateway convert your traditional wall switch to a smart switch. After installing both the Link and the Wall Switch Converter, the smart bulbs that are connected won’t lose power anymore if someone used that wall switch, making them always available via the app and easy to use manually.
Easy installation
The only thing you will have to do is connect the wires from your wall contact to the included terminal block and the wall switch converter to your traditional wall switch. The wall switch converter works with a CR2450 battery that lasts for 8 years, so you don’t have to worry about replacing the battery. Now you only have to add the wall switch converter to the HomeWizard Link app and your traditional wall switch is smart.
Solves your bulb problem
Add for example the Smartwares HW1600 or HW1601 smart lights to the Link to make your lights smart. When installed, the Wall switch converter makes sure that even when someone turns off the lights using the traditional wall switch, your smart lights will still be operable via the HomeWizard Link app. If you have set timers or use geo-fencing to switch your lights via location awareness, you will never have to worry that some of your lights are unavailable because the power has been turned off via the traditional wall switch. This product is ideal if you have visitors or family members who are not too familiar with smart bulbs and prefer to use the existing wall switch.
Also works with Philips HUE
The Wall switch converter is also a great solution for using your Philips HUE lights. After adding the Hue Bridge to the HomeWizard Link Gateway via the HomeWizard Link app, you can control your Hue lights with your smartphone as well as with the traditional wall switch. Many functionalities
When connected to your traditional wall switch, the Wall switch converter has a number of additional functionalities. For example, you can add light scenes which you’ve created in the HomeWizard Link app to the converter. The traditional wall switch now serves as a button to activate certain scenes in your house. This way you can click once for scene 1 and twice for scene 2. The wall switch converter can be personalized to your preference and different click patterns can activate scenes or presets based on how you would like to use it.
