    Heat sensors

You can use a heat sensor in places where a smoke detector is not suitable. A heat sensor detects a fire in locations where a smoke detector would react too quickly, causing too many false alarms.

A heat detector is, therefore, ideal for use in a kitchen or a bathroom. The alarm goes off if there is a sudden increase in temperature. Heat detectors use a thermo-differential sensor, which works like a thermometer. The heat detectors have a lithium battery which has a lifespan of ten years.

It is recommended to regularly test and clean the heat detector. It can easily be tested by briefly pressing the test button. It can also easily be cleaned with a damp cloth and by going over it with a vacuum cleaner once every six months. Never use cleaning products and never paint over a heat detector.
